This
week I'll be posting two videos- one designed specifically for
younger students (K- 2nd grade) and one for students in
third grade and up. Really anyone might enjoy either project, but
the second one will involve some adult or older sibling help for the
younger guys.
This
first activity requires the following:
a
sunny day
paper
something
to draw and color with
toys
or other fun objects
your
imagination
In my
video I only talk about the rocks, toys, and stick that I use as
options for shadow making, but really you can use anything to create
shadows. Find some fun objects in your house or yard and experiment.
This may also be a neat opportunity to talk about the movement of
the sun throughout the day. Try recording the shadows from morning
to afternoon and see how they change.
I hope
you enjoy my “kind-of-sloppy” finished product shown below. I
call this one “Spotted Cow, Dr. Seuss Tree, and Monkey-Face Lamb in
a Lush Green Pasture”.
